Lionsgate released a new Frank Frazetta-inspired motion poster for the 3D reboot of “Conan the Barbarian.” It is the first official artwork from the film.
According to IGN, the motion poster is “a nod to the classic Conan imagery of the late artist Frank Frazetta.
Frazetta was an American fantasy and science fiction artist. He was inducted into the comic book industry’s Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1995 and into the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1999. He passed away last year on May 10th.
Actor Jason Momoa (“Stargate: Atlantis”) plays the title role of Conan. The film also stars Ron Perlman, Rachel Nichols, Rose McGowan and Stephen Lang. The film is directed by Marcus Nispel (“Friday the 13th,” “Pathfinder”).
The film will be in theaters both in 2D and 3D on August 19 this year. It is distributed by Lionsgate in the United States and United Kingdom.
