On the note of taking attorney for immigration interview...most of the well known immigration attorneys are too busy to attend such...they would send a senior legal assistant. Some of the senior legal assistants who work at firms for a few years are as knowledgeable as the attorneys and consult attorneys only on tricky matters...so in some cases even sr. legal assistants accompanying would help.

Please contribute even if it is small amount as a gesture to IV Victory.

My PD is 4/30/04 and I am anxiously waiting as well (since 2001 actually).

This is not an accusation on Fred in any way, but I just noticed that his Notice Date is 10/3/07, when the current processing dates for TSC are 8/23/07 - so this is yet another mystery of USCIS/TSC, one I doubt we will be able to solve anytime soon.

Just want to convey how much we appreciate the efforts of IV in our fight to GC process.
When we don't see the positive news (in form of Monthly bulltin) we expect IV to approach USCIS or DOS or show protest in form of rally? However if we look at the efforts of IV team in recent years we would notice that some time I feel the power of thsi forum is much bigger than approaching congressman or senator for favor especially in GC process.

Few montsh back I did send mail to talk radio host in Boston requesting him to
speak on the legal immigration some time. I did send immigrationvoice.org as reference .I am not sure if he spoke on this as I am not regular lister of radio talk show but he did appreicate the information available in the web site.

Received receipt notice on 30/04/2007 which mentioned RFE mailed on 30/04/2007, however till date the lawyers have received nothing, does it take that long for the RFE to reach the lawyers??? its already been 13 days...Please respond...

I am having a similar issue. They have mentioned that RFE mailed on 05/04/2007 (4th May). I still havent recieved any letter from them. Anyone else in my shoes?

yes, we are definitely expecting a response and thats why we are stating the timeline.
At minimum, we definitely need to higlight with details as to how USCIS is playing with us.
Nobody can predict whether we will get a response or not. But, we definitely need to satisfy ourselves that we fought till the last.
2 or 3 years back, nobody expected IV to achieve anything. Look what IV has achieved today. It only happened through relentless protests.
During July fiasco, everybody was resigned to getting their 485 files returned back. The force of IV protest made the reversal.

I am confident that with lots of protests, USCIS will churn out a few approvals in the last week of September. At least, guys who got RFE can expect something. I am not one of them, though, as my file has not been picked up at all. that is a different issue.

We never received any email from you. I think you mean 4-5 posts. We did not believe that there was merit in responding to your posts. There is only so much time in a day. We can not practically respond to most of the posts, even if we want. But as I mentioned earlier, not responding to a post doesn't give you license to be rude and then later call it a joke. Its not funny because we take this effort very seriously.

OK, paste my other posts ( which you think as rude ) as you mentioned. Like i said, you and i have no time for this. If you make a statement back it up. If you cant back it up, dont accuse others.

IMHO, When a lady is 9 months pregnant, NO punishment to her is justifiable. Not in this world or the world after us, as simple as that. Any punishment must be postpartum, after full recovery.

After reading this thread and the posts by people who supported the sheriff--I really have a bad taste in mouth. How low did we stoop as a human society that we can't understand the labor pains?

I'm not sure if I'm eligible to apply for Master's quota. I'm done with all my degree requirements and I've scheduled my thesis defence on MAy 20th. Is it still possible that I can apply in Master's quota. I've a letter from my schools which states that I'm done with all my degree requirements and I'll be finishing thesis on May 20th. Is this letter enough to apply for MAsters??


since master's quota is still available, you can apply now. some lawyers say you can apply with that letter from school.Later if you get RFE you can submit your masters degree at that time. Anyways talk to your lawyer

And by extension of the same logic, you chose to come to this country to be a guest worker. You knew it could take long to get a GC and that there are PER COUNTRY LIMITS when you applied for GC. Why complain about it NOW ?

Please don't dismiss others pain as just crap (your word).

Your concerns about the per country limit will seem as useless bitching for ROW group in the similar way you see complaints from EB3.


Could not able to understand from where this EB2 Vs EB3 scenario came up, silly.

If somebody says EB3 filer is inferior to EB2 (in a way), then it is ridicules. Being said that, nobody has asked to them to opt for EB3, it was just the situation they were in when they started their GC journey. Let it be their educational qualification, experience or job requirement, they opted to go with EB3 with full consciousness and also due to some compelling reasons. If EB2 dates are moving forward why EB2 filers needs to be blamed / targeted for that? This doesn�t make any sense either.

Also, now nobody is stopping them to convert from EB3 to EB2.

Let us just stop this EB2 Vs EB3 crap and do something constructive. These kinds of fights will not take us anywhere.

Coming back to the topic of this thread, WHY WE ARE HESITATING TO FILE A LAW SUIT? Any answers?????
